7 But we [a]proved to be [b](A)gentle [c]among you, (B)as a nursing mother [d]tenderly cares for her own children. 8 Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to (C)impart to you not only the (D)gospel of God but also our own [e]lives, because you had become [f]very dear to us.

9 For you recall, brethren, our (E)labor and hardship, how (F)working night and day so as not to be a (G)burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the (H)gospel of God.
